I use to think a labrador but I am pretty sold on my english setter. Great personality and great in the field.

We got a mini golden doodle for Christmas and he’s been great. I was dreading getting a dog but he’s been the easiest

Yep. Our experience too. I think some are more hyper. Ours has the perfect combo of playful when we want, mostly mellow.
