It is not "unlikely", the CFP is 100% not happening for us.
There is no scenario I see us getting in, even if every team in front of us loses. It will be filled with a bunch of 1 loss teams in front of us. No way the committee lets in....no way.
Only scenario we get in is if a bunch of schools shut down football and broader college football goes on....not likely. If this happened I think they shut the whole thing down.
Only scenario we get in is multiple strong years in a row and we have a tough schedule with a few big name wins (one big time win). This years schedule (pre-COVID) would have been solid had we run that schedule (especially if a few teams panned out to be good...need to beat ranked teams - end of year ranking).

G5 spot is guaranteed for an NY6, not a top 4 playoff spot. While highly unlikely BYU and Cinci do compete for the CFP
