This policy of the Big12 & ACC's +1 game having to be at home is lame. It's just
... another power play by P5 conferences to get even more home games and protect their records and profits and has nothing to do with player safety (since they're apparently fine with other programs risking their players to the plane rides to get to them.)

The TCU-SMU game being cancelled is especially silly. That one could have been played per the ACC's rules, but the Big12 just wanted to increase their chances of having better records it appears. Absolutely NO reason to cancel that road game for "safety" reasons, when they may bring in a team from who knows where to replace it.

I get what the economic impact of a home game is for many programs (I live in Tuscaloosa)... but I think they'd all get along just fine without that extra home game this year.
