I think there was more of a philosophy change when Anae returned.
I will agree things really opened up at that point.
Doman dabbled a bit more w non-LDS players in the years he had his way — but he was a really poor judge of D1 talent, regardless. His recruiting was very unbalanced, too (which is one strong proof Bronco's hand in the overall recruiting of offensive players was light to nil).
