I don't think that type of trailer is a good idea for gravel. I don't even think you could safely put 1 yard in there,

so you are talking about like 6-8 trips to get your 4 tons.

BTW- even if you did have a better trailer, you have to be careful with overloading. 4 tons of gravel would be a lot for even a 3/4 ton pickup to tow.

I found a guy with a tip trailer he only charged $100 and could haul up to 5

That trailer is likely not rated for the weight. Home Depot rents dump trailers.
