Good point. But China took some DRASTIC measures too.
erected fences outside of every major city. Forced workers to stay home. Basically took full advantage of its status as an authoritarian nightmare state.
It will be interesting to see what happens in freer societies. The long incubation period is making it tough to detect and effectively quarantine.
