the burden of paying employees rests on the consumer at the point of sale. So effectively they don’t make a wage - it’s my job to pay them in the form of a tip. And I accept it.
Uber drivers, pizza delivery people (maybe to a lesser extent), barbers - they all make a wage. I don’t understand paying for the job and then just tipping extra for the job. No one tips me when I solve a clients problem...
