Timpanogos has only has 5 regions wins total sonce 2014. They only had like 30 kids total for freshman and sophomore ball, so they only fielded one sub-varsity team. The youth league isn't growing either. Then you get a team that can barely field 7 varsity level athletes playing recruiting powers Timpview and Orem and it's a losing battle, where kids get hurt and don't want to play. Most of the athletes at Timpanogos wouldn't go out for football because they didn't want to get hurt for basketball.

It's only for a season, and the hope is the association will put those teams that recruit in the same class while taking more into account when setting up regions and classifications than just enrollment.
