They don't run the test 40s in pads and helmets.
I've always thought that some guys just aren't as fast when you pad them up, and some guys don't lose any speed in spite of that stuff.

I did. The guy has a sharp defensive mind and flies to the ball.

In the NFL? Maybe not but he's definitely one of BYU's best DBs of the decade

He struggled at first because of what he was asked to do... most don’t remember

He was one of the greatest special team players BYU has had.

Disagree. He's a great FS & didn't stick due to his special teams play. Stats:

Yes- but it was his special teams play that gave him a foothold in the NFL.

1/12/20 10:53pm
Ok, since he's a former UFA, I'll give you that.

That top honor goes to Brad Clark.

He was a linebacker his first year, and later moved back to safety.

One of the best "of the decade"? His NFL stats; probably best FS "ever".

Nope. I'm more surprised about Davis playing with the Rams.

I remember him chasing down guys breaking away. He was VERY fast.

1/12/20 6:52pm
I remember the GT head coach raving about the #9 safety
pilot17
1/12/20 9:05pm
He was not fast. 40 yard dash was 4.67. 16th percentile for his position group.
Von Cougarschnauzer
1/13/20 9:23am
I don’t think it’s possible to be in the 100th percentile.

1/13/20 4:19pm
Wonder what his 100 time was cuz he ran guys down over 40+ yds multiple times

Yes. He was a monster on special teams and had a huge nose for the ball.
travelcoug
1/12/20 7:29pm
Yes. Covered more ground than any other safety in BYU history.

1/12/20 10:11pm
I don't think he played in that game. Andrew Rich was all over the field though.

You're right. That was Rich's game. Beast.

Yes. Even though BYU players are discriminated against in the draft,

He played with other NFL talent in KVN, Alan Fua, Ziggy Ansah, Bronson Kaufusi.

Thought he could make the league. Didn't know he'd start on a decent defense. I thought Andrew Rich
RoaroftheCougartails
1/13/20 10:02am
