calling a game would be important. You'd put a mic in the pitchers glove and he'd say something to the catcher
The catcher would still be able to signal things out to the pitcher as well, and the pitcher would confirm or change the sequence of the signals over the mic. It could be was as the pitcher saying !st sign, 3rd sign, sign after touching your left knee or something else.
Plenty of opportunity for communication. Pitchers and catchers are already on the same page for the most part.
