A senator in Florida has introduced legislation to get rid of switching times during the year and leave the whole nation on daylight time year round (more light in the evening, less in the early morning).
Many states are currently introducing legislation to get rid of switching between standard and daylight savings time. The prevailing notion is to stay on daylight time year round, as nearly all of the population is up at 5:30pm, but much less of the population is up at 5:30am.
