I think the issue has been that the mobile QBs we’ve had have not been...
good enough throwers to go along with it.
I prefer a QB that can throw over one that can run if I’m looking for a single skill QB, but having an athletic QB that is also a good thrower is better than having one that can only throw.
Granted that is rare, even at he pro level you don’t see that many that can do both at a high level. It is why Taysom will probably never be a starting QB in the nfl. His throwing is not good enough.
The thing I liked best about Romney the other night was the touch he put on his throws. It was better than what I’ve seen from either Hall or Wilson but Romney also looked slow of foot and his arm strength was not great.
I’d prefer to see more of Hall because his talent is greater then Romney and we all know that as soon as Wilson is healthy he will be back to being the starter and both of these guys are going back to the bench.
I do not think Romney is going to leave and go elsewhere regardless, he’s a walk on, he’s at byu because he wanted to be there more than going to a place where he had a better chance to play. That is not the case with Hall, he went to BYU because he is a talent and so it is better to see if he’s a good enough talent and this is the chance to find that out.
