Ken Niumatalolo has opted to stay at Navy rather than take the BYU job, for which he interviewed.
Two days after visiting with BYU about its opening, Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo has informed the school he will be staying, the team said Wednesday.
Sources with knowledge of the negotiations between BYU and Niumatalolo — who decided Wednesday night to remain at Navy — indicated that Niumatalolo may not have been the school’s first choice to lead the program.
