He was the 1st guy that BYU brought in to interview. It took over 2 weeks of the process for Kalani to even get
contacted. It was obvious Ken was the top choice.
Ken walked away cause he didn’t want Tom telling him who he had to hire (TY). Ken also had options and was plenty happy at Navy.
Kalani on the other hand was at the ultimate dumpster fire of a program and the chance to jump the sinking ship while getting a raise was too easy to not pass up.
