maybe it's me, but just don't think it's funny. I think sometimes people get caught up in their circles (cougarboard) that they don't realize how they are perceived by others. That post comes across VERY arrogantly.

Different people will see things differently. You see arrogance while all I see is sarcasm. That doesn't make it arrogant. Like you say, maybe it's you.

Smack talking will continue to go on until it is against the rules of Cougarboard. Any why isn't it against the rules? Because it's all in fun. I didn't read anything in that post to suggest that he really believes what he was saying. He certainly didn't seem serious. It was full of sarcasm and funny. It sounds like something I'd write.

Does that make me unsportsmanlike? For many, smack talk is not just a part of the game, but part of what makes it fun. Some people will never get smack talk or get into it. It wouldn't surprise me to find that you're one. That doesn't make you right or wrong. You just need to come to accept it's a part of sports, even at BYU.

Can a person be sarcastic and still be a Christian? Oh how I hope so, or I might be in really big trouble.
