It’s like people forget what once was, and still is for other G5 teams
Every season the nation follows the G5 programs who have a run, just like they used to follow BYU. The media and fans spend weeks at the end of the season debating the top G5. That’s the definition of relevance in college football. If BYU can get back up to G5 I think it would only help the program overall get back to where it once was from a national perspective. Our fans are too worried about what Utah fans would think, and it’s pretty pathetic.

I don't think he was declining. There was a natural adjustment to our W-L record due to increased P5 scheduling
