But the real weak spot was Bernard, especially in the first half. Utah's run defense depends on every player filling and holding their gap. Too many times, Bernard was in the wrong gap, or over pursued his gap, trying to make a big play. These two things left a good cutback lane that Hadley had the vision and patience to see.
In the second half, Utah made some adjustments with who was covering the tight ends, which kept Hansen and Barton (Instead of Hansen and Bernard) in the middle more frequently. And Bernard played more disciplined.
