This is an absurd statement IMO. Why would I choose to eat foods
That cause diarrhea, fatigue, headaches, etc? Ultimately it’s a sacrifice avoiding these foods, but the greater good is that my mind and body are almost always in 100% healthy mode which allows my mind to work at its fullest capacity. Strictly from a spiritual standpoint I can achieve more spiritually because I don’t have crashes which take me away from living life to its fullest. It’s a decision I’ve made and hope to sustain throughout my life.

I compare the same principle to alcohol, for example. While having small portions of wine could be considered good for your health, as members of the church we choose to avoid alcohol for other larger reasons, most of which IMO is so that we have a sound mind and are in control of our actions 100%. Same principle in my mind.
