When I had kids under five I had life insurance in the amount of 15x income. My wife didn’t work and we had a mortgage.
Now that I am an empty nester I have less than a million on me. Point to this is your needs change as your life circumstances change. You always want to err on the high side because life insurance is cheap if you are healthy.
