I was t-boned by an armored truck that was traveling 75 mph. It hit my truck square on the passenger side door and the collision was so hard that it threw my full sized tundra across the HOV lane and the emergency lane into the concrete barrier between north and south bound I-15. It then slammed into me a second time while me truck was against the barrier knocking me unconscious while we skidded along the wall. He then broke free from me and hit two more vehicles totaling both of them.
When I regained consciousness the entire right side of my truck and been caved in and pushed so far over that I was pinned in between the center console, which had been pushed up vertical by the passenger side seat and door which were now basically in the middle of my truck. The only thing that kept it from completely smashing me was the size and weight of the truck itself, much larger and stronger than a sedan not too mention taller since it is probable that the armored truck would have driven right up onto top of a sedan and crushed me from above as well as the side.
This has all been confirmed by the investigators from both insurance companies as well as the Utah highway patrol. They put the likelihood of death at over 90% if not for the fact I was in a large vehicle that was able to withstand the impact as much as it did. I had surgery for my injuries and spent a year in physical therapy recovering from it and I am still not completely recovers. Aside from being knocked unconscious I received multiple cuts all over my body, both from glass and from impact force which blew my skin open in multiple places. Wrist and leg injuries. Rib injuries and injuries to both shoulders one of which was operated on twice with multiple tears. The other will require surgery at some point but I elected to wait because not having use of both arms for an extended period of time would have been even more difficult.
There is very little doubt that I would have been killed if I’d been driving a smaller vehicle, all involved agree on that including the insurance company of the Loomis company.
In essence you really don’t know what you’re talking about, have no clue as to the severity of the crash, and do not know what the investigation by three separate entities, two insurance companies as well as the Utah highway patrol, concluded.
But continue on with your foolish assertions.
