deal between directv/dish in PAC 12 markets. Folks in major media markets can’t get the PAC 12 network unless they pay more for the channel. This is creating this financial chasm between the PAC 12 and other conferences Larry Scott made financial promises to the PAC 12 universities upon kicking off the PAC 12 network based on “owning their own content” (rather than excepting a better deal from a major sports media company like ESPN/FOX, etc, to assist in distributing their content) and the PAC 12 network is not even close to achieving those initial financial promises. Now, to remedy the situation, Larry Scott is trying to sell a percentage of the PAC 12 network to investors. Quite honestly, he has become a joke and laughing stock throughput the conference, in PAC 12 media markets and on a national level. Multiple PAC 12 university presidents have shortened his leash and hopefully he will be given the boot soon; otherwise, this conference will go continue to go down the financial sports drain.
