ton of young talent on paper but we haven't seen it proved out on the field. It's a big stretch to think we can fill the holes properly where outgoing seniors are concerned. And we have to do it to start the year because our schedule is so front loaded. That's the issue I see. We may very well be able to be good by the end but by that time we would have lost so many games that the morale may just be shot, not to mention that expecting good health is a fool's dream imo.
The end of this year is a perfect example of this. Wilson is clearly the better QB than Mangum, but in the end it didn't matter in the W/L column. We didn't beat a good team with Wilson at the helm (Hawaii being borderline I guess). There are many issues with the football team and to assume they are all going to be fixed in the off season by some players getting healthy is pretty silly imo.
