We aren't AFA and we have only scored more than 30 against a D II team. So we can't say we can do what they did and hold the ball for 43 minutes and score 32 points.
So yes the game against AFA is a good factor on how good and how quick USU can score points. Not to mention they put up 319 yards of passing against MSU. We have not come close to 319 yards, according to the stats we have averaged 193 yards a game in passing, so I don't think we will be able to put up numbers like AFA to hold on to the ball.
So that means that our D will be on the field longer and more possessions/opportunities for USU to score points.
That is why you see people nervous about the game on Friday.
Remember we have used the we can only play those teams on the schedule and so we can't now say different about USU so far this year. Not to mention they beat us last year and we have struggled with them in the last 6-7 years.
