I enjoy living around "gentiles", just not the variety that seem to live in Utah
In Utah, it's pick your poison: Either live around the show-everyone-how-nonmormon-you-are people, or live in a high % LDS area with some difficult aspects of Utah Mormon culture. If you fit in, great. If you or your kids don't, it can be tough. That said.. if you enjoy Utah's strengths (hiking, mtn biking, skiing) it's hard to beat IMO.
