no reason at all it can't happen again. We haven't had a freshman as physically and mentally prepared as him. Jamaal was barely 17 yrs old and became a star as a freshman. Collie and Jacobson did plenty. The list goes on. Even QBs are more and more prepared to contribute immediately these days. You're really underrating how ready some guys are. This kid was among the best out there.
No matter how you look at it, there's way more supporting the idea that he can contribute a lot, than the idea that he can't. Sorry, you don't have much on your side other than to keep saying over and over that he's a freshman and somehow that guarantees something.
Expectations are not through the roof. People are saying he could potentially have like 500 yds. That's not crazy. Less athletic guys have done it, why can't he? He's an elite football player. He played elite competition and always performed, whether it was during a season or in elite camps.
I love how we literally JUST had a true freshman RM become an All American, and yet some act like it is impossible for our best WR recruit in who knows how long to contribute. We also had another true freshman step in at RB in the same year.
And before that a true freshman QB. And another true freshman RB. Oh man we just can't expect or hope for anything at all.
