Is it due to lack of enough players/resources, geography of your Stake too large, or it was it a specific decision of your SP to shut it down?
My last two stakes in Northern CA have not had church ball for years at the discretion of the past few SPs. I actually asked the SP if he’d consider reinstating it and he laughed and asked if I thought enough people would actually want to play. I told him that I think there would be plenty of people that want to play and that it would be a good fellowshipping activity.
I know that there are jokes about church hoops being the brawl that starts with a prayer, etc, but I think we’ve lost something good by getting rid of it. I feel the void in our quorums, and I think it would be a great way to get our young men to do something physical for a change.
