That doesn't mean it is 100% correct all the time, but I think more than not this is accurate. Jimmer was a completely different story, he wasn't just the best player on BYUs team he was the NPOY.
Eli isn't going to be that. He is the best player on the (hopefully) 3rd best team in the WCC. If he plays on a decent TCU team or you name a P5 school on the cusp of a Top 25 ranking and he maintains the 1st or 2nd best player on that team then he has a much better shot at the NBA.
That is pretty much what I'm trying to say.
