This is a comment I have seen on the board quite a few times. I admit there were struggles this year. The entire offense was bad. Yet, Nobody ever seems to bring up that Cahoon coached the all-time leading BYU WR (Hoffman) during his best receiving year... with Riley Nelson at QB.
Then to back it up he got the highest rated WR recruit ever to commit to BYU (Romney).
I just don't get the Cahoon hate. What do you want the guy to do? Coach the all-time leading WR in BYU history to his best year? CHECK. Recruit the highest rated WR ever arguably next to Austin Collie? CHECK.
I get it. You want results. Every time a WR dropped a pass this year you screamed through the TV at Cahoon which also caused you to drop salsa on your favorite stinky ace polo shirt that you wore the entire 1996 year when the Cougars won 14 flipping games.
Guy held every receiving record at Ricks, Great BYU WR, a legend in Canadian football because of how he mastered the technical aspects of the WR position.
The guy has done things. Good things.
