I was enrolled in our corporate health plan back in August. I selected the traditional PPO plan, but apparently they enrolled me in the HSA plan. Being dumb, I didn't bother to read through my policy when it arrived in the mail. I didn't know about the screw up until I received a bill from my health care provider for a routine office visit. I was surprised to see that my insurance company didn't pay a dime on the claim. So I logged into my insurance's website and called them and found out that I am enrolled in the HSA plan. There is a little over a month until the new year's plan kicks in. How much of a headache is it going to be to settle this issue? The parties involved are my company, insurer, and health care provider. How do I get everyone on the same page and get the claim reprocessed so that I only owe the copay? Is it even worth the headache?
