a TO after UW was going to just run out the clock. So, Peterson decided to change his strategy. Instead of playing for OT, he orchestrated a great drive down field to get the game winning FG. Yes, I know he's an OC. But, the guy is clearly in charge of his team. He owns it. He's not just sitting back as a fan, allowing his other coaches to run the show, then going on in post game interviews criticizing decisions his coaching staff made.
What Sitake is doing is just plain awful. I don't get it. Never will. It makes him appear disconnected. Sure, he's a great guy - no question about it. I've shaken his hand and was very impressed. But, what he is doing publicly by beating down his offense for not running the ball when there was clearly a reason we didn't run the ball is just terrible. If Sitake really doesn't know that U Mass was stacking the box, then he really is truly and undeniably clueless. On the other hand, if Sitake knows that and still blames Ty for not running the ball, then he is knowingly playing a much worse game of calculated division and blame to save face - which I cannot respect.
