Sitake seems like he doesn't give people much time before having a meltdown
I can't speak to whether that's a good thing or not, but at some point he probably would've benched Ty as well.

I realize Koy Detmer had a bad outing against USU; however, I am still a bit

It wasn't just the game. He hasn't really ever looked good in practice either.

I watched a practice in which he looked good.
DirtyWater

I have watched a ton of practices and scrimmages

He's looked good in past spring games, even with limited game reps in 2015

10/11/17 1:51pm
couldn't disagree more. he looked terrible in the spring games.
Bostonblue
10/11/17 1:55pm
He actually was giving Beau a run for his money last spring
shakarocks
10/11/17 5:06pm
He threw a beautiful pass to Trinnaman vs. USU, and led BYU to a TD called back

I've thrown beautiful passes in Turkey Bowls. Doesn't mean I should be BYU's QB.

Koy's wasn't in a turkey bowl.

Silly comment.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong.

No sure if it is reverse nepotism or what. I agree.

I think the same. Treat the kid fairly. If he's the next man up, let him play.
DirtyWater
10/11/17 1:46pm
And I'm surprised Koy Detmer was the 2nd string QB going into the USU game
Belboz
10/11/17 1:55pm
He has the least upside of the quarterbacks in the stable
donnerstag
10/11/17 1:56pm
How do you know that? Have you ever read Lavell's account of meeting Ty?
DirtyWater
10/11/17 2:05pm
He's smaller than Ty

guess we're all more worried about the downside at this point. we have yet

Pretty sure there is a floor. And we're there. It literally can't get worse.

six games left that includes San Jose State and UNLV - it can get worse

There is straight up something weird going on here

I think Kalani may have told Ty not to play Koy anymore.
dYrtbYkerYder
10/11/17 2:45pm
Why do you think that?
DirtyWater
10/11/17 2:51pm
At this point I am not inclined to believe Kilani has 'told' detmer anything.

Disagree. Go listen to the BSU postgame. KS says something like, "In hindsight

IRC he said something about tanner needing to be 90% to start this week,

I thought so too.... hmm....

10/11/17 2:03pm
Painfully obvious? First off Tanner led a great early drive TD
GhostofPostersPast
10/11/17 2:12pm
I'd say it became painfully obvious by the end of the first half. I would

Agreed on pulling Mangum

I guess I have to disagree here.

Koy Detmer QB rating vs. USU: 2.9, Critch QB rating vs. BSU: 2.1

I'll answer with a question...
Accipiter
10/11/17 2:43pm
Not much "development" for Critchlow in last game by taking four snaps.
LV Mike
10/11/17 3:08pm
It sounds like the development goals were met.
Accipiter
10/11/17 3:19pm
Great point!

Koy was awful! You are right though, Critchlow
Cougar4life123

Personnel decisions have been really, really awful this year
GOR
10/11/17 3:35pm
I don't think Critchlow was supposed to only get 4 attempts
donnerstag
10/11/17 3:39pm
Read somewhere that Koy got dinged up in the USU game. Not sure on the details.
ManicBlue
10/11/17 4:04pm
If you mean the USU game, that would make sense. But, it's strange to me that

Because JoeC can be better than a healthy TM. KD would be a stop-gap.
kapcreations

Is it not very possible, even likely that they deemed Critchlow a better player

10/11/17 5:02pm
lol Wait, you think he deserves preferential treatment due to being related?
Lip Gallagher
10/11/17 5:18pm
Did I suggest he get preferential treatment?
LV Mike
10/11/17 5:21pm
Yes
Lip Gallagher
10/11/17 5:56pm
No he didn't. I'm not in Detmer being a D1 QB camp but I had the same questions
coug10278
10/11/17 6:39pm
Yes he did.
Lip Gallagher
10/11/17 7:47pm
Now you're putting words in his mouth...nothing said about being treated

Please read the OP again carefully. You will perhaps then see in context that

Get real. He is not a D1 QB. He’s only on the team because his uncle is TFD.

Canada has proven carry after carry that he’s really good at getting stuffed

I think Kalani’s worrying about next yr. If Tanner can’t figure it out, Beau
