I believe they lack confidence, and it very well might be that the lack of
confidence stems from no confidence in the scheme.
In 2011, the players lacked all confidence in their QB, and it showed in the way they played. Swapped to a QB they were at least confident would give his all, and all of the sudden passes were being caught, blocks being made.
This offense isn't fooling anybody, and the players know it. They lack confidence, and they're playing like it.
