About as strong as our 1984 schedule... should we ditch the NC trophy?
Besides, he destroyed the opponents in those games which is what you'd expect from an elite player.

jreid191

He's not even on your list. Jamal Willis.

7/25/17 12:10pm
Solid choice.
Mikey
7/25/17 12:11pm
If Jamal had played in an offense with a real run game . . .
Coop
7/25/17 12:12pm
And he shared carries with Kalin Hall for much of his career. Hard to know what
Game Changer
7/25/17 12:15pm
Most underrated player, no doubt.

Unga and I don't think it's close
Backcountry
7/25/17 12:11pm
Unga was great but not even close?
TNT
7/25/17 12:13pm
You read that correctly sir

Did you watch Luke play? Man among boys.

I can't remember how strong was the schedule that year
GeauxCougs
7/25/17 3:18pm
Possibly one of our weakest over the last 20-30 yrs...

Don't ditch it but it should figure into greatest running back ever
GeauxCougs
7/25/17 4:55pm
Unga played against similar opponents many times and did not destroy them like

I'm not arguing that Luke isn't great. I like Luke he's 3rd on my list

This is the age-old debate about how we define "greatest of all time"
Game Changer
7/25/17 5:45pm
In terms of talent, I would put Staley, Jenkins and Homer Jones
Archaea
7/26/17 2:42pm
no
Lip Gallagher
7/25/17 12:40pm
I'd say Unga is third at best

Now that's the CB TNT knows and loves
TNT
7/25/17 12:22pm
I would put Brian McKenzie on this list over Peter Tuipulotu
Game Changer
7/25/17 12:18pm
I'd also put Lakei Heimuli and Casey Tiumalu on the list over Peter T.

The only thing possibly going against Luke was his injuries...but considering
Preppy
7/25/17 12:19pm
Staley was best. Harvey 2nd. Put the real Jamal on there and also L. Heimuli
fulano
7/25/17 12:23pm
I created another poll w/ Willis and Heimuli (and some others).

Man, people are sleeping on Jenkins.
ag4cougs
7/25/17 12:30pm
The speed isn't a question. More likely longevity
TNT
7/25/17 12:31pm
Give me fours years of Jenkins over anyone else.
ag4cougs
7/25/17 12:32pm
TNT isn't casting a judgment. Just guessing how people are voting
TNT
7/25/17 12:34pm
If you get top health all 4 years, I think you're crazy if you don't pick Staley
russkiejedi
7/25/17 12:35pm
Jenkins was 170 pounds - not feature RB material. Had great speed, obviously
Game Changer
7/25/17 12:39pm
I see the stats say he had 1 rush for zero yards in our 1996 loss to UW. I swear
russkiejedi
7/25/17 12:44pm
For his size, he was powerful. I'd have liked to see him for 2 more years.

Jamaal by far
I'mBatman
7/25/17 12:34pm
Do it all guy, just like Harvey. But Jamaal was a more speedy.
gmj81
7/25/17 12:39pm
I agree. And for that I believe he'll stick around The League awhile as well
wickedgame71
7/25/17 12:41pm
I agree. Jamaal or Unga. Both did so many things well and for multiple years
wickedgame71
7/25/17 12:40pm
While TNT loves Staley
TNT
7/25/17 12:54pm
1. Luke...................................... 2. Harvey, 3. Willis, 4. Ronnie...

You don't have the all time leading rusher in your top 4
GeauxCougs
7/25/17 3:20pm
He benefited from starting all 4 years
Thug Mormons
7/25/17 3:57pm
You're joking, right? He didn't "benefit", he earned every rep he got

Thug Mormons

Jamaal played 3 more games than Harvey. Sort of stretching the 4 full years
GeauxCougs
7/25/17 4:44pm
Oh and he had 500 more yards than Harvey with only 30 additional caries
GeauxCougs
7/25/17 4:59pm
1. Luke, 2. Unga, 3. Ronnie, 4. Fleet Pete, 5. Jamaal 6. Pete T, 7. Curtis
