Some of you may remember Statman. He used to post a lot but hasn’t for several years. He stopped because he felt the conversations were getting too argumentative, but there was no one on the board that was more of a BYU football fan, and he was trying to convert the world to his BYU football fandom. He sometimes came across as a little arrogant, but that was more confidence that he was right, and he usually was. He was one of the most knowledgeable people I have known, and he was versed in almost every imaginable subject.

He passed away last week, and I was able to attend his funeral yesterday. He left behind a wife and three sons, all BYU fans. He was a great friend and treated everyone he met like children of God, even Ute fans. He was always good for a kind smile and lots and lots of laughs. He will be missed a lot by all who knew him.
