What I'm saying in a nutshell is, Rose has hitched his wagon to the Lone Peak 3. When a program does that, there are unintended consequences. A lot of quality players have transferred out of the program. Why? They know they aren't going to see significant important minutes or a role on the team. And to quite frank, it is all about those guys both on and off the floor and to be quite frank, only Mika merits the hype. We don't know how good some of those players who transferred out could've been had they been given the same latitude these guys have. The school hyped them for years prior to their arrival and they haven't lived up to the billing collectively as a group. Where are the conference championships, NCAA Final 4'S we were told about? Only Mika is going to see the NBA and he deserves it because he is a phenomenal player. The attitude of Nick and Haws (i.e. Go back and watch the blue/white game when Haws stood over Beo after throwing him to the ground because he was playing suffocating defense or physical defense on him, TJ losing his cool multiple times throughout the year, etc., We don't need to go through Nick's exploits again). I dubbed them the "Lone Peak It Is All About Me" as a jab at the Utah media, a jab at the way two of them play "hero ball" quite often with their inability to recognize a good shot and habitual turnovers and lack of commitment to playing defense. I, like all of you, would love it if these guys were awesome and going to the NCAA tournament. But, we won't sniff the tournament next year either unless two of them make changes in multiple phases of their individual character/game on both ends of the court to help the team collectively.
