I'm referring to the expectations of the season opener. OU had played in NC.
You wouldn't expect BYU to hang with a team whose last game with the NC, especially returning as many starters as they did. That's my point.

No, not a poor season. They went 8-4 the rest of the way and beat Stanford in the Sun Bowl. They were ranked for 10
