That was a terrific success. The University got much more money and national recognition after playing that home and home... and there's NO drama after the game's over. It's much better and, believe me, the admin knows this.
Bottom line is if Utah wants to grow its national brand and has one "A" game in which to do it, there are many more football programs to align with to help them get there. Kyle said during the Michigan years that he wants to do what's best for the program. Those games are what's best for Utah.
To be fair, same goes for BYU. The Utah/BYU rivalry is kind of cute nationally, but doesn't help either teams branding cache.
Unfortunately Chris' hands are now tied.
