to keep playing him. Why? Well, you see, Tanner is just really struggling. He's not playing well in practices. He's not picking up the offense. He's just not getting it. So coaches had to keep Taysom on the field.
Personally, I don't buy it. While Taysom has/is struggling throwing the ball, he's played well enough to have BYU just 12 points from being 8-0. He could be playing better. We expected him to play better.
But his struggles are not all his own. He is not the only position group to have struggled on offense. I never saw a truly compelling reason to go away from him.
I don't think Tanner's performance or grasp the offense has factored into the decision to start and keep playing Taysom.
