Either way, amazing how some awful performances will unite groups... And clearly there are 3 groups, like usual on here. Both extremes and in the middle, where the truth typically lies. I'm not a fan of using extremes to make arguments. I think this thread is a bit of an extreme. Bad examples.
I don't see anything wrong with the groups who simply believe they got to such a low and managed to stay there as an offensive unit, especially in the passing game, that the thought of change couldn't possible hurt a whole lot more if any. I think plenty of coaches may have. O'Korn was supposed to become superman and he ended up getting benched for Greg Ward.
Plus the fact that some people are using the excuse of Mangum being "too good" and leaving very soon, as a reason for sticking with Hill is just silly. No coach would purposely throw a season away because they're afraid their guy would go pro and they'd have to recruit someone new. Wow, welcome to the big leagues people. Elite schools deal with this all the time. If BYU wants to act like big boys they'd need to be ok with that.
