think it's funny to assume that "silence" is necessarily a positive or a negative thing. I think it's wrong to assume that this is all anyone involved is doing this whole time. The university presidents, the ADs (including Holmoe), etc., all have their usual jobs that they have to do on top of all of this. And since they're not focused 100% on this 24/7, it's likely that the reason there's so much silence is because (more often than not) there's just nothing to report at the moment.

While I think the Big 12 has actually done a pretty good job of staying mum on the process (in spite of the way they decided to go about it), I'd be willing to bet that once they get close to inviting someone, we'll hear about it.
