Any potential negatives about multiple MRIs if they are unnecessary?
My daughter wants to participate in a research study for money that will give her an MRI. I know they are "safe" if you need it for diagnostic purposes, but are there any potential negative effects for doing it for no reason? What if later she has to get a few for health reasons? I know with radiation there are concerns about lifetime accumulation and I know MRIs don't use radiation, but wondering if there are any concerns about a similar cumulative effect?
