On the one hand, Austin Collie is the following:
--Consensus best receiver of all time at BYU. Period.
--Solid NFL player (I truly believe his first major injury derailed a Pro Bowl season in the making)
--Caught passes from two of the very best QBs to ever play the game.
--Avowed student of the game
--2nd generation Cougar. His family is among the great families of BYU football
OTOH, he has voiced his opinion that Anae's offense was overly simplistic and/or predictable. This is a critique that's been levied over and over by players and pundits alike, some of whom are very pro-BYU (like Collie himself).
Doesn't mean Collie can't be wrong. If he thinks Mangum will/should start, I disagree. But that wasn't a real fair or compelling case about why we should blow off Collie's opinion. Odd take.
