I'm not sure of the mechanics, or syntax, or exactly how the law needs to be satisfied, but the law needs to be satisfied. A sin is a sin.You as a person can't grow until you truly repent. Just because you experience a severe negative act, doesn't negate your need to put your actions in line with the law.
I'm sure the atonement works to help heal the rape victim, but part of the healing has to be great sympathy, etc. then the victim has to change who they are. They can't keep doing the stuff that led up to the rape. If they don't change that behavior, doesn't the law still need to be satisfied?
