it? What confuses me about this is why is the honor code so hard to follow? If it's too hard to follow and puts these athletes in a bad spot publicly then maybe BYU should reevaluate the Honor Code and ask themselves if it's realistic to follow?
The idea of athletes getting a lesser HC penalty simply because it doesn't go public is ridiculous. Why would Sitake and whomever hands out penalties have to be harsher if it gets leaked? Why can't they stand their ground. Are they hiding it from BYU higher ups? The whole discussion of "Let's keep quiet about HC infractions so our players get less suspensions just make us look ridiculous. The real discussion is whether or not our honor code is fair to the athletes. If it is then they should be able to keep it.
