Everyone says he's so "conservative"...that's just not true. Running a fake punt in their own territory was very risky, especially with the momentum we had, but itworked...but they went 3 and out after the fake and punted away.

They were inside our 40 within phillips range, and went for it on 4th and 1, if they kick and make that FG it would put the game out of reach. Instead he goes for it and we stuff them. Huge blunder by whitt imo. Then later, another 4th and 1 inside our 50 and they go for it again and get stopped, another mistake by whitt imo. Those were very agressive/risky calls. Had byu won this game, the utes would have every right to blame whitt.

The utes won this game by coming out extremely aggressive and intense, they caused 3 of the 5 turnovers....and got a little lucky. But they make their own luck, utah d scores all the time.

The coaching blunders for byu were mostly anae. After the fumble, then the pick 6 anae should have gone conservative and gotten a punt away down 14-0. Give a chance to the defense to get back momentum, and give the offense a chance to calm down and regroup.
