$1200/year for 2016 (another 14% increase). I'm now paying over $10,000/year for a high deductible plan that covers absolutely nothing until I reach a deductible of $6,000 (where my employer HRA kicks in).
Isn't it great to spend 10 grand per year just to make sure I don't spend more than 6 grand per year on medical bills?
3 years ago I had a nice copay plan where I could walk out of a doctors office only paying a $15 copay, and I had a nice copay on all prescriptions. My total medical expenses (including health insurance premiums) were probably 25% of what I spend now on just on premiums. This idea of forcing everybody to buy insurance in order to drive down costs is working out really great now.
