About Takenaka getting little to no playing time
I think this is a sign our level of DB recruiting has raised. In fall camp the coaches clearly gave Takenaka all the opportunities to grab a spot--pencilling him in ahead of our seasoned guys. And yet when push came to shove in the live games & into the grind of the season, it's been Wadsworth & Hadley who have risen to the occasion--& looked pretty good doing it, too.

I know Takenaka wasn't a real high-end JC prospect, but he was pretty solid. Typical of the good JC signings we land when we're shaky at a position. I was pretty impressed with Takenaka's speed & power in his vids. I thought for sure he was gonna at least nail down that spot as the rush nickle.
