Not the case at all, I am very well aware of the prep time and everything that goes into the broadcasting of a game, I know when and when not to talk to members of any broadcast team, I have interacted with several play by play and color commentators of radio and TV games. (It's part of my job) Nearly everyone that I have met over the years has been friendly.
I'm not looking at carrying on a conversation with the man, or having a heart to heart with him. He was not on the air, nor was it between innings and he was not working at the time when I went up to meet him. Last time I checked a simple Hello, how are you doing? Is there anything that we can do for you tonight? is considered being polite. It's great that you all have had good experiences with him in a church setting.
