our coaching and development sucks. we're actually getting better players than usu and boise and not putting them in the NFL. In fact, what you're really saying is that our coaching and development has been REALLY bad, and it has.
and i would also point out that 50-60ish in national recruiting rankings isn't gonna be winning much significant anyway, so that has to improve. if you disagree you're wrong. 50th in recruiting definitely not gonna go far in a p5 league, which we think we belong in.
finally, i'd say that our recruiting rankings have been higher out of high school than boise and usu, but that's probably negated totally by the number of missionaries we recruit. missions hurt football, and they definitely hurt the chances of any kid wanting to play in the NFL.
the recruiting needs to improve, we need fewer missionaries, and the coaches need to do better at development and winning. And putting kids in the NFL will raise that recruiting ranking up to the 30s or even 20s, maybe. And then we can get serious.
