What matters is playing the best games we can play as often as we can play them. Being counted as a P5 out of conference foe is a huge deal because it will help us fill out a truly P5 schedule. We've already shown and continue to show that we will play anywhere anytime and we'll bring fans.
The postseason stuff is what it is. For now we just have to scrap together the best contracts we can. But the regular season schedule is what matters and it is something we can actually fight for. TH has simply done an incredible job in this regard. Absolutely incredible given the circumstances. If he can start putting together seasons with 7-8 P5 schools on the schedule, independence is sustainable. I expect that to start happening within a few years.
